Walnut Cookies
I inherited this cookie recipe from my Bohemian ancestors. This year I tried it again after a long time and am quite impressed with the result.
Quite a simple and versatile recipe - the good thing is that you can process the dough into various cookies. It can be cut out well, decorated with icing or spread with jam.
Here’s the recipe:
Place the dough ingredients in a bowl, stir and knead into a dough by hand or with a food processor.
Then prepare the filling: heat the nuts with the sugar and milk in a saucepan, stirring constantly. When the mixture has thickened, let it cool.
Roll out the dough in portions on a work surface.
... cut into even squares.
Spread the cooled filling with a teaspoon.
Finally, fold two dough corners over each other and press firmly.
Bake in a tube at 180 ° Celsius for approx. 11-12 minutes (the baking time may vary slightly depending on the oven).
Let the cookies cool and sprinkle with icing sugar. Finished!
Enjoy!
