Walnut Cookies

I inherited this cookie recipe from my Bohemian ancestors. This year I tried it again after a long time and am quite impressed with the result.

Quite a simple and versatile recipe - the good thing is that you can process the dough into various cookies. It can be cut out well, decorated with icing or spread with jam.

What you need:

For the dough:

750g flour

250g sugar

3 eggs

220g butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons Backpulver

1 teaspoon Vanilleextrakt

For the filling:

275g grated walnuts

125g sugar

1/2 cup of milk

Here’s the recipe:

Place the dough ingredients in a bowl, stir and knead into a dough by hand or with a food processor.

Then prepare the filling: heat the nuts with the sugar and milk in a saucepan, stirring constantly. When the mixture has thickened, let it cool.
